Recently Abandoned Medieval Village

This medieval town was made for the purpose of experimenting with Level Design as well as large scale Set Dressing and Environment Design. The purpose of the level is for the player to start on the docks and make their way to the white house in the corner of town. I wanted to see how easily I could direct a player without using tooltips and only using environmental framing. I also wanted to allow the player some amount of agency while still forcing exploration. I did a top down blueprint of the level in Photoshop, into a greybox blockout for some minor pathing and pacing testing. Then I moved into asset integration (most of which I gathered from the Unreal Marketplace as well as a handful from Quixel Megascans). Finally, I did all the lighting and post process.
